چکیده

One of the major settings of global sensitivity analysis is that of fixing non-influential factors, in order to reduce the dimensionality of a model. However, this is often done without knowing the magnitude of the approximation error being produced. This paper presents a new theorem for the estimation of the average approximation error generated when fixing a group of non-influential factors. A simple function where analytical solutions are available is used to illustrate the theorem. The numerical estimation of small sensitivity indices is discussed. r 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Sensitivity Analysis of MPSIAC Model

MPSIAC is currently known as an appropriate method to measure sediment ofWatershed basins of the country while there has not been any sensitivity analysis so far forthis method. In this study, required data for MPSIAC model were gathered from six basins;Amame-Kamarkhani, Kand-Golandok, Tang Kenesht (from two different references), Nojian(from three different references), Pegahe sorkh katvand (f...

Addressing factors fixing setting from given data: A comparison of different methods

This paper deals with global sensitivity analysis of computer model output. Given a set of independent input sample and associated model output vector with possibly the vector of output derivatives with respect to the input variables, we show that it is possible to evaluate the following global sensitivity measures: (i) the Sobol’ indices, (ii) the Borgonovo’s density-based sensitivity measure,...

Global Sensitivity Analysis of Ordinary Differential Equations Adaptive Density Propagation Using Approximate Approximations

Ordinary differential equations play an important role in the modeling of many real-world processes. To guarantee reliable results, model design and analysis must account for uncertainty and/or variability in the model input. The propagation of uncertainty & variability through the model dynamics and their effect on the output is studied by sensitivity analysis. Global sensitivity analysis is c...

Study the Effect of used Parameters on Geomorphologic Instantaneous unit Hydrograph

Estimating the runoff in the basins lacking statistics is always considered by researchers And managers in planning, development and implementation of many projects of water Resource. One of the methods for estimating the runoff is to use geomorphology instantaneous unit hydrograph which estimates the hydrograph of flood based on quantitative geomorphology factors. In this study, first the quan...

A Two-Phase Robust Estimation of Process Dispersion Using M-estimator

Parameter estimation is the first step in constructing any control chart. Most estimators of mean and dispersion are sensitive to the presence of outliers. The data may be contaminated by outliers either locally or globally. The exciting robust estimators deal only with global contamination. In this paper a robust estimator for dispersion is proposed to reduce the effect of local contamination ...
